Depends on your preference.  The VCANTER’s gentle pouring mechanism means sediment stays at the bottom of the bottle and doesn’t ‘kick-up’ into the wine as it pours, so if your sole motivation is to draw off sediment, you should not worry about pouring into a decanter first. If you wish to introduce more oxygen into your wine in order for it to ‘breathe’ and ‘open up’, you may opt to pour from the VCANTER into a decanter before serving your guests.  Pouring into a decanter will speed up the process of ‘opening up’, but if you have time on your side, you can plan ahead and open several hours in advance to allow for a slow oxygenation of your wine and forgo the need to pour into a decanter.
